City Wants Seybold Cited For Contempt In YMCA Suit

The city of Marion is asking a judge to cite former Project Manager Chad Seybold for contempt of court for not cooperating with court orders in the ongoing lawsuit between the city, Seybold and others in connection with the un-completed work on the old Grant County Y-M-C-A building.
A judge ordered Seybold to turn over records pertaining to the renovation project, which was started but never completed using bonds bought with Tax Increment Financing money.  The city is suing the estate of the late developer Michael An and Seybold…who was the project manager on the job.  The city wants the money returned.
According to “The Chronicle-Tribune,” Chad Seybold has refused to hand over the documents, despite repeated requests and court orders to do so.  The city is now wanting him cited for Contempt of Court.
Superior Court Three Judge Warren Haas has now accepted the case and has taken over as the judge in the matter.
