Area unemployment rates continue to be low. In fact, all of the jobless rates for area counties went down in April.
Howard County’s jobless rate dropped one-tenth of a percentage point last month to 3.1-percent…the lowest in recent memory.
The highest jobless rate in this area is in Miami County…but that’s only 3.6-percent. The lowest jobless rate in this area is in Tipton County at just 2.6-percent.
