United Auto Workers members in Kokomo are holding a strike vote today in an effort to bring attention to demands that safety issues be resolved at Fiat-Chrysler facilities in Kokomo and Tipton.
U-A-W Local 685 is holding the strike vote at their union hall until 6 p-m. The vote started late yesterday.
Union leaders say the strike vote will give their bargaining committee authorization to strike, if necessary, in order to resolve the safety issues.
