Many Indiana Schools Adding Metal Detectors

Nearly four out of five Indiana school districts will be adding metal detectors in the coming months.
Governor Eric Holcomb announced two weeks ago that the state would supply handheld metal detectors to any school which wants them. He says most school districts have signed up for the metal detectors, and they should receive them in mid-August.
A broader report on school safety and ways to improve it is due by August first.
