Unemployment went up slightly in Grant and most surrounding counties in June, according to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.
Grant County’s jobless rate is now the highest in this area and is tenth highest in the state overall, yet is only 4.3-percent. Miami and Delaware counties stand at 4.2-percent, while Blackford, Howard and Madison counties are at an even four-percent, while Wabash and Huntington counties stand at 3.8-percent.
The lowest jobless rate in this area is in Wells County where it’s an even three-percent.
