UAW & FCA Still Talking After Strike Vote Taken

Despite a strike vote that was taken just over a month ago, talks are said to be continuing between United Auto Workers representatives and officials of Fiat-Chrysler over safety issues at the Kokomo and Tipton plants.
U-A-W Local 685 members authorized a strike if necessary over grievances about safety issues at the Kokomo and Tipton facilities.  Though the strike was authorized by union members, no one has walked off the job because the union and management continue to negotiate.
Neither side is commenting on the status of the negotiations.
