Heidi Peterson has accepted the position after a months-long search by local officials.
Peterson has recently been involved in gtant writing for groups like the Marion Design Company and other local organizations.
Kayla Johnson stepped down as Main Street Marion Director earlier this year to accept a full-time position with the city of Marion.
