Deer season is right around the corner and with it comes a new state law regarding trespassing on private property.
Legislation passed by the General Assembly now allows property owners to mark the edge of their land with purple paint, which is the same thing as putting up a “no trespassing” sign.
Hunters say it’s a good law, adding that it makes it harder for novice hunters to get away with trespassing on private property while tracking a possible kill.
