A chaplain who served 48-years with Police & Fire agencies in Ohio and Indiana has retired from the service and received high praise from thos he served.
The Reverend Jack Hess spent the last 12-years serving Indiana State Police officers at the Peru Post.
State Police officials said Hess was an unsung hero who helped officers create order in chaotic times.
