Blood Donations Still Greatly Needed

Hospitals and blood banks across the country are joining with officials from the American Red Cross in asking for blood donations during the holidays.

Red Cross officials say blood supplies are desperately low this time of the year and donors are urged to give if they can.

The biggest need right now is for type “O” Positive…which is the most common blood type, but also the highest in demand.

Most people over the age of 16 in America can donate, if they are healthy.  The whole process normally takes less than an hour.
