Firefighters from several Grant County fire departments battled a stubborn blaze inside a large barn east of Gas City early today.
Firefighters from Mill Township, Gas City, Fairmount, Center Township, Upland and Matthews were all called to a barn on fire at 6751 South and 500 East early this morning. They found the large barn almost fully engulfed in flames when they arrived. The barn is considered a total loss.
There are no reports of injuries in the blaze and the cause is under investigation.
