Yesterday marked another significant landmark in the life of one of Howard County’s oldest churches.
St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Kokomo was founded in 1859, just four years after the city of Kokomo was founded.
St. Patrick’s started out as a small wooden structure, built before the Civil War. Today, the cathedral is one of the most recognizable structures in Kokomo.
A special celebration of it’s 160th birthday will take place Saturday evening at Rozzi’s Ballroom.
