Schneider Electric To Close Square D Plant In Peru

Officials with Schneider Electric announced Friday that they will close their Square D facility in Peru and will move all production to facilities outside the state.
The company is one of the largest employers in Miami County, with just over 300 workers at the Peru plant, which manufactures switchgear and switchboard apparatus.
All work at the Peru Square D plant is expected to be moved out of Indiana by the end of the year.
