In releasing their 2018 earnings for last year, General Motors had some good news for more than 46-thousand eligible hourly employees. They’ll get a profit sharing payment of up to more than 10-thousand-700 dollars, down slightly from a year ago.
The payment to eligible employees will be included in their February 22nd paycheck.
The payout is based on a formula agreed to in the contract between G-M and the United Auto Workers union.
As for the 2018 earnings report, General Motors posted an 8.1-billion dollar profit for the year, fueled by better prices for vehicles sold in the U-S. It’s a strong rebound from the previous year when the company lost 3.9-billion dollars.
