Indiana is one of several states to reach a settlement with Walgreens in two whistleblower lawsuits involving alleged fraud and overbilling.
The suits claim Walgreens over-dispensed insulin pens to Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries. It also alleged Walgreens over-charged Medicaid for certain prescription drugs.
As part of the settlement, Walgreens will pay more than 200-million dollars to the states.
