Weekend Shooting Victim Still Critical But Stable

A Marion man remains in critical condition at a Fort Wayne hospital following what is believed to be an accidental shooting on Friday.
Marion Police were called to an apartment in the 700 block of Lincoln Boulevard and found 35-year old Dustin Satterly suffering from a gunshot wound to his neck.  A friend told police he was showing a gun to Satterly when it went off.  He also admitted the two men were about to use drugs at the time.  Police found drugs and paraphernalia at the scene.
Three Marion Police officers who responded to the call are being credited with aiding Satterly until medical help arrived…possibly saving his life.
Satterly was flown to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, where he remains in critical but stable condition.
The case remains under investigation.
