Jay Yeakle Honored By State With Circle of Corydon

A Marion man who is one of the driving forces behind local charitable work has been honored by the state for his work.
During Saturday’s Help the Hopeful Auction, Jay Yeakle was presented with the “Circle of Corydon” award.  Yeakle was one of the founders of Help the Hopeful, which helps out with financial needs for Grant County families who have children with serious medical problems.  The organization has conducted auctions and other fundraising events that have raised more than two-and-a-half million dollars in the past 27-years.
The Circle of Corydon was named after Indiana’s first capitol city and was developed by current Governor Eric Holcomb.
