High-speed chase leads to arrest in Henry County

A man who was arrested for leading police on a high-speed chase in November, has been arrested for doing it again. Sunday night, Muncie police attempted to pull over a car driven by Dustin Smith, reaching speeds close to 120 mph on the Muncie Bypass. Muncie police lost the car near the Delaware-Henry county line, but Henry County sheriff’s deputies saw the car and gave chase. The chase ended when the car hit a guard rail, became airborne, hit a utility pole and flipped end over end multiple times. Smith and his passenger Laura Minor told police they recently ingested meth. Smith was treated for a broken foot and then taken to the Delaware County jail.
