The Mounds Mall building and 2 parcels of land were sold Monday at the Madison County certificate sale for 17,000 dollars.
The Herald Bulletin reports, though, that the Cook family, the current owner of the mall property, has 120 days to redeem the location and retain ownership.
The Cook family has already accepted an offer of 3 million dollars for the purchase of the actual enclosed mall from Baumann RE LLC. Baumann intends to construct modular housing and an event center there.
