A Marine Corps honor guard from Grissom Air Reserve base participated in the transfer of Marine Corps Private Fred Freet of Marion at the Indianapolis International Airport yesterday.
Freet was killed in action November 20, 1943 during the United States assault on the Gilbert Islands in World War two.
He will be buried at the Marion National Cemetery tomorrow.
