Roush lake still carp infested

Recent surveys of Roush Lake have revealed that an anticipated reduction in the carp population has not happened.
According to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, a 2017 die-off triggered by a virus has reportedly not had the desired effect since carp still remain the dominant fish in the 900 acre reservoir.
Anglers are reminded that, if they catch carp, never use it as live bait, but instead use it as cut bait or garden fertilizer.
Please report any significant numbers of dead or dying carp to Austin Taylor at the DNR at (317) 232-5821 or emailing ataylor1@dnr.in.gov
