Thirty-six Girl Scouts rescued on Tippecanoe River

Thirty-six Girl Scouts and five adult leaders were rescued by the DNR on the Tippecanoe River in Carroll County Tuesday.
The Girl Scouts came from Camp Sycamore Valley near by and rented canoes from Hodges Canoe and Kayak Trips.
Lt. Dan Dulin with the DNR says the river is still high from heavy rains and the river was probably moving too fast for the large, inexperienced group.
