EPA to test for lead, arsenic in Evansville

The EPA is back in Evansville, and is once again looking for lead and arsenic.
Chris Borowiecki with the Vanderburgh County Health Department says EPA crews will spend the next five years testing soil samples from across the city.
The hope is to identify contaminated soil, then clean-it. The EPA is looking for lead and arsenic that’s left over from power plants and coal burning stoves from decades ago.
