The FCC formally approved the purchase of two Evansville television stations as part of a bigger $165 million deal.
The FCC is allowing Allen Media Broadcasting, a division of Entertainment Studios Inc., to take ownership of CBS affiliate WEVV and FOX-affiliate WEEV in Evansville.
Entertainment Studios is one of the largest producers and distributors of film and television content, and also owns The Weather Channel.
