UPDATE: State rep arrested after allegedly asking for cocaine, threatening to have the Feds kick in home owner’s door

Here’s what went down the night state Rep. Dan Forestal was arrested.
On Aug. 10, Forestal went to a home on E. Washington St. and told a couple he was an officer doing a drug bust and that the Feds would be kicking in their doors if they didn’t tell him where the people selling drugs lived. Forestal flashed a firefighter badge.
The man at the house called the police, and when Indianapolis Metro Police pulled Forestal over, Forestal refused to put his hands up and had to be forced from the car.
He told the officers at the scene they would be sued, and he’d have all of their badges. Forestal also went to the Blue Moon Tavern, before being arrested, and was telling people he was a firefighter and wanted to know where he could get party favors like cocaine.
After he was arrested Forestal was taken to Eskenazi Hospital for a small cut on his elbow and was placed in extra restraints for a blood draw, after ripping a warrant out of an officer’s hand.
