BackgroundChecks.org has published its annual report on the safest cities in each U.S. state for 2019.
According to the report, Marion ranks 26th out of 43 examined cities when it comes to safety in the state of Indiana.
Kokomo came in 40th place.
The report used FBI crime statistics to create state rankings on cities with a population of higher than 10,000 people.
Indiana’s top five safest cities are:
Bluffton
Shelbyville
Dyer
Brownsburg
Beech Grove
The two most dangerous cities are South Bend and Indianapolis.
