Category 3 hurricane Dorian to hit Florida, state of emergency declared

The National Hurricane Center says Dorian will likely make landfall in Florida late Sunday or early Monday morning.
By the time it does, it’s expected to be a category three hurricane, prompting Governor Ron DeSantis to declare a state of emergency on Wednesday.
DeSantis says it’s important for Floridians on the East Coast to monitor this storm closely, every Florida resident should have seven days of supplies as well as a disaster plan.
The latest predictions call for Dorian to have maximum sustained winds of at least 115 mph by the weekend.
