Red Line buses launch, celebrate with month of free rides

The long-awaited Red Line buses in Indianapolis are officially taking passengers.
IndyGo celebrated the official launch of the extended bus route early Sunday morning.
The first buses left stations at 7 a.m. The 13 mile-route will run 5 a.m. – 1 a.m. weekdays.
The route runs from U of Indy to 66th and College in Broad Ripple.
There are 28 stops total with buses running in 10 min intervals.
IndyGo wants everyone to try out the new service, so all month long passengers will ride free.
