Bahama residents still searching for more than 2,500 missing people

While Hurricane Dorian may seem like yesterday’s news in the U.S., the catastrophic storm is still fresh in the minds of Bahamas residents, who are searching for more than 2,500 missing people.
The list of missing residents was released on Wednesday, just more than a week after Dorian killed at least 50 people and leveled thousands of homes on Grand Bahama and Abaco islands.
The death toll is expected to rise as emergency workers continue sorting through the wreckage left in the hurricane’s wake.
Carl Smith, a rep for the Emergency Management Agency, says power has been restored everywhere except in Marsh Harbour, Abaco Island’s largest city, where the entire electrical infrastructure was wiped out by the storm.
