Taylor University’s Zondervan Library available to the community

UPLAND — The Zondervan Library at Taylor University makes its resources available to all Upland and Eastbrook area residents.
While the Library’s primary mission is to serve Taylor students, faculty, and staff, local residents are welcome to use its information resources comprised of over 160,000 books, bound periodicals, DVDs, and CDs, and select electronic resources. The Zondervan Library is located here.
Anyone is welcome to use materials in the Library building during its hours of normal access. Residents of the local area, especially those in Grant and Blackford Counties, may check out many of the Library’s resources after they have obtained a Zondervan Library Community Borrower’s Card. Items designated as equipment, such as laptops, Chromebooks, and iPads, are not eligible for borrowing with a Community Borrower’s Card.
To obtain a card you must complete a simple application and pay a fee of $25.00. Community Borrower’s cards are valid for three years. Persons under 18 must have the signature of a parent or guardian. IDs take approximately one week to produce. Families are encouraged to acquire multiple cards if more than one family member will be making regular use of the Library, as only the cardholder may check out items on the account. Currently, an Indiana PLAC card cannot substitute for a Zondervan Library Community Borrower’s Card. Most print resources are available for check out to Community Borrowers with the exception of Reserve Circulation materials and other materials that do not circulate such as Reference books, periodicals, and special collections. Books circulate for three weeks; audio-visuals circulate for three days. Fines are assessed for overdue resources.
