Elanco Animal Health laying off around 250 workers

There will be job cuts at Elanco Animal Health as part of what they are calling a restructuring effort.
The company is planning to layoff some 250 workers by the middle of this month.
As a result, leaders say the company will save around $12 million because of the decision.
Most of the job cuts are coming from other Elanco operations outside Indiana, such as research and development positions in Prince Edward Island in Canada.
Elanco went public on the New York Stock Exchange last year and used to be a subsidiary of Eli Lilly and Company.
