The Indiana State Police are mourning the loss of one of their own.
Trooper Peter Stephan, 27, was traveling northbound on Old State Road 25 when his patrol car fell off the curve of the road. The car rolled at least once before striking a utility pole.
Stephan was on his way to an accident. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Stephan served the ISP for four years.
