McCulloch, Justice, Riverview students selected for All-State Honor Choir

Marion Community Schools has announced that choir students from three of its schools have earned spots in the Indiana Music Education Association’s All-State Honor Choirs.
The McCulloch Junior High School students selected were Nathaniel Aguila, Caleb Huff, Emily Luckey, Chloe Phillips, and Caroline Russell; from Justice Intermediate School, Aubry Roedl was selected; and from Riverview Elementary School, Joseph Hancock and Hannah Huff were selected.
This group is the largest ever selected for this honor from Marion. Marion Community Schools in a press release they “congratulate these talented and dedicated students on this outstanding achievement.”
Students submit a recorded audition in the fall, which is then evaluated by three judges and compared against hundreds of other students from across the state.
The choirs will gather together for two days of rehearsal on Jan. 16 and 17, and then will be featured as guest performers at the IMEA professional development conference. They will perform on Jan. 17 at the Grand Wayne Embassy Theater in Fort Wayne.
The All-State Honor Choir is a great opportunity for these talented students and will give them the chance to learn and grow as musicians.
