Peru man sentenced to 25 years in kidnapping, rape case

Twenty-five years in prison is the sentence handed down to a man from Peru over his part in a kidnapping and rape case.
Dustin Day was given that sentence Tuesday.
Prosecutors tell WLFI Day and another man robbed a woman outside her apartment in Lafayette at knifepoint and forced her to drive them to several places in August 2018.
They also say Day forced her to drive a rural Cass County road and raped her.
The other man, Michael Pugh, is already in the Tippecanoe County Jail on charges of kidnapping, criminal confinement and intimidation.
