Muncie man sentenced for courthouse bomb threat

A Muncie man is headed to prison for his involvement in a fake bomb threat at the Tippecanoe County Courthouse.
Michael Battering of Muncie was sentenced to five years in the Indiana Department of Correction on Friday.
In October, Battering pleaded guilty to intimidation, false informing, and fraud.
The bomb threat was called in on April 11. Prosecutors said Battering made the call because he wanted to delay a court hearing for a child custody issue.
