The Indiana Dept. of Health confirmed late Thursday afternoon a fifth Hoosier has died from a vaping-related lung injury.
56 total people in Indiana have been confirmed to have a lung injury due to vaping.
The CDC says that’s one of the highest rates in the country, along with Illinois and Wisconsin.
Overall, 52 Americans in 26 different states have died this year from vaping, and more than 2,400 have become hospitalized.
