John Mellencamp donates $50,000 to hometown of Seymore

Hoosier rock legend, John Mellencamp, has made a generous donation to his hometown of Seymour, Indiana.
The town said Mellencamp donated $50,000 to construct a plaza near a mural that pays homage to the singer-songwriter.
The mural is painted on the side of This Old Guitar Music Store in downtown Seymour.
Mellencamp has even signed the mural during a visit.
The plaza is hoped to be “a nice meeting area for downtown” and an easy place for people to take pictures by the mural.
