Grant County Councilman At-Large, Mike Roorbach, seeks re-election

Current Grant County Councilman-At-Large Mike Roorbach on Wednesday filed papers to seek re-election to the seat he has held since being elected in 2016.
He also filed to be re-elected to the Republican precinct committeeman seat he now holds for Center 17, and to seek to be a District 2 delegate to the GOP state convention.
Prior to serving on the County Council, he served three terms on the Marion School Board and a term on the Marion City Council.
He is retired from a career that included leadership positions at the Grant County Family YMCA, Lakeview Christian School and the Alumni Association at IWU, according to a news release.
“I am pleased to be able to announce my candidacy for re-election,” Roorbach said in a release sent to the press. “I want to continue to serve as both a guardian of our tax dollars and an advocate for effective services from the dollars we spend.”
Filing for the 2020 Primary Election opened Wednesday and as of writing, he sits unopposed.
