Gas City Police: Man barricades himself inside home after leading cops on chase

A man has been charged after leading police on a vehicle chase, before barricading himself inside a home.
It began yesterday at around 10:40 a.m. when the Gas City Police Department began pursuing a vehicle in the 500 block of North 8th St, according to Gas City Police Chief Tim Eckstein.
The driver, 40-year-old Robert Campbell, lead police into South Marion before returning to Gas City. Campbell then barricaded himself inside the residence of 613 W. Chestnut Drive.
Just before 5 p.m. the emergency response teams from the Grant County Sheriff’s Department and the Marion Police Department entered the home and three subjects were arrested.
Campbell faces several charges, as well as 32-year-old Jessica Law and 33-year-old Afton Hurd, who are charged with maintaining and visiting a common nuisance.
The investigation is ongoing.
