Workers at GM’s Kokomo plant could soon be making respirators.
The company yesterday said it is working with a Washington state company to ramp-up the production of respirators.
GM didn’t specifically say that they would be made at the Kokomo plant.
Doctors and hospitals across the country need respirators to help fight the coronavirus.
The move is voluntary as President Trump has not enacted war-time emergency powers that allow him to require private manufacturers to start making supplies need to fight certain disasters.
