ISP Trooper helps save Fairmount woman from suspected overdose

The quick actions of an Indiana State Police trooper and paramedics most likely saved the life of a Fairmount woman.
Friday at approximately 1:30 a.m., the Grant County Dispatch Center broadcasted a possible drug overdose at a home in the 1500 block of North Main Street.
Trooper Taylor Roth responded to the residence and found an unresponsive 33-year-old woman, barely breathing and lips that were blue in color.
Trooper Roth performed life-saving measures that initiated a normal breathing pattern and normal color returning to her lips. When paramedics arrived on the scene, they continued medical treatment on the woman and transported her to a Marion Hospital.
The woman is expected to make a full recovery.
Trooper Roth was assisted by paramedics from the Grant County EMS.
