Ex-Grant County Jail employee facing sexual misconduct with inmate, trafficking charges

A former kitchen employee at the Grant County Jail is now facing charges for having an inappropriate relationship with a jail inmate.
According to court documents, 50-year-old Rhonda Hodge would go off-camera into a restroom with inmate Thomas Flynn while another inmate would sit at a nearby table and appeared to be a “lookout” for them.
Investigators placed a camera inside the inmate restroom on weekends that Hodge worked and captured footage of Flynn and another inmate grabbing what appeared to be tobacco from the top of a paper towel dispenser.
Flynn’s phone records also show he made phone calls to Hodge, where the two said they loved each other, according to court documents.
Hodge told investigators that her “head wasn’t right” after her son died.
Hodge has since been terminated from her position and has been charged with sexual misconduct with an inmate and trafficking with an inmate, both Level 5 felonies.
