IU looking for volunteers to test COVID-19 vaccine

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — The Indiana University School of Medicine is looking for volunteers for a COVID-19 vaccine trial. The trial is part of a late-stage clinical trial for a potential coronavirus vaccine, developed by AstraZeneca and Oxford University.
The trial needs 15-hundred Hoosiers to volunteer and the school especially wants to find participants from minority groups.
Volunteers would need to travel to Indianapolis, receive either two doses of the vaccine or a placebo, and then attend follow-up visits. Volunteers must be at least 18-years-old and will be compensated.
Those interested in participating in the study can sign up to receive updates by joining the All IN for Health volunteer registry.
