Walkway of Lights parade canceled due to spike in COVID-19 cases

The City of Marion’s Walkway of Lights Parade has been canceled due to the spike in COVID-19 cases.
After consideration from Grant County Health Officer Dr. David Moore and the Grant County Health Department, Marion Mayor Jess Alumbaugh made the decision yesterday.
“This is absolutely the last thing we want to happen, but unfortunately the numbers are rapidly increasing. My main concern is the health of our community and both Dr. Moore and I agree this is the safest thing to do,” Alumbaugh said.
The City of Marion and Walkway of Lights Committee still encourage folks to visit the Walkway of Lights display this season. The display will be lit at 6 p.m. on Saturday, November 21st, and will continue to be open from 6 – 10 p.m. each evening until the end of the year.
