Former Muncie police officer involved in brutality case will plead guilty

One of the five Muncie Police officers charged with either beating or covering up the beating, of a local teenager is due in court in two weeks to plead guilty. Federal prosecutors say former officer Dalton Kurtz will plead guilty to misprision of felony charges on August 4th. Kurtz is accused of lying about an officer who beat a teenage suspect. The other four officers involved in the case will go to trial in January.
