Census data indicates Hoosier new hires aren’t paid as much as in other states

New data from the U.S. Census Bureau shows Hoosiers getting new jobs aren’t being paid as much as other states. The report says new hires in Indiana are making an average of $2,917 per month. That’s the 11th-lowest wage in the country. People getting new jobs in Washington are making the most, with an average of $4,045 per month. The industry paying the most right now? Computer programming and technology jobs are paying an average of $7,060 per month, or nearly $85,000 a year.
