16 Hoosiers have died from the flu so far this season

Three additional flu deaths were reported by the Indiana Department of Health on Friday. That brings the total number of Hoosiers who have died from the flu in the 2021-22 flu season to 16. 10 of those people were ages 65 and older, 5 were between the ages of 50-64, and one person was younger than 50. Six-long term care facilities have experienced flu outbreaks this season.
