Holcomb signs child welfare agency bills

Indiana’s child welfare agency is in-line for more help.
Gov. Eric Holcomb yesterday signed two new laws that are aimed at helping what has been a troubled agency.
The first law will provide more help to foster families in Indiana. The second is aimed at helping to find and keep quality workers at the state’s Department of Child Services.
That law came after an audit showed a high rate of turnover that hampered efforts to protect some of the state’s most vulnerable kids.
