Ind. 9 to close for construction

The Indi­ana Depart­ment of Trans­porta­tion announced that Ind. 9 will be closed in Grant Coun­ty to allow Nor­folk South­ern to rebuild the rail­road cross­ing.
Work will take place on Ind. 9 in both direc­tions on Mon­day, June 17 between North Wash­ing­ton Street and North Lagro Road.
The road is expect­ed to reopen by Fri­day, June 21st, weath­er permitting.
The offi­cial state detour is Ind. 15 to Ind. 218 to Ind. 9.
