Build a Better World Summer Reading Theme

The Greentown Public Library (GPL) Summer Reading Theme for 2017 is “Build a Better World” running from June 5 – July 14.  GPL’s emphasis is focusing on building a better YOU. A trinity of facets makes up the criteria for programming: health, service, and mind. Every minute dedicated to one of the facets counts as one point. Minutes achieved in conjunction with GPL sanctioned programs count double points. Those points are kept on the individuals’ logs.
Rules for both teens and adults are the same. Rules and theme for children at the Children’s Library may be obtained there. Participants will post points in the appropriate facet area to be computed for prizes. A prize will be awarded in each of the three facets and a grand prize will be awarded to the person with the most points overall. Logs are to be turned into the library no later than noon on July 17.
